Specialist Contracts and Support

Our work is also made possible by a number of specialist contractors and interns.

Charlotte di Corpo, DEVELOPMENT LEAD

Charlotte’s role is to identify and implement a fundraising strategy to attract overall brand sponsorship and funding from partners with the pre-eminence, nationally and internationally, of the Edinburgh Festivals brand and which will ensure the Festivals maintain a competitive edge. New collaborative projects such as the Edinburgh Festivals Innovation Lab are part of a new and exciting portfolio. Charlotte was responsible for setting up the first major sponsorship partnerships at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and has also worked as Head of Development for Scottish Ballet and Save the Children Scotland.

HARRY GILES, ENVIRONMENT OFFICER

Harry works to help deliver the Festivals' ambitious environmental projects, collaborating with Festival organisers and venue managers to reduce carbon emissions, manage environmental impacts sustainably, and showcase best environmental practise in the cultural sector. He has worked for environmental campaign organisations People & Planet and Waste Aware Scotland, as a venue manager for The Forest, an independent multi-arts centre, and runs performance projects in theatre and spoken word. His aim throughout his work is to make the connection between cultural and environmental sectors, empowering artists, audiences and managers to work for sustainability.

Rohan Gunatillake, Innovation Lead

Rohan is leading the Edinburgh Festivals Innovation Lab, an initiative launched in July 2010 to identify and develop digital innovation opportunities across the festivals.  Rohan works on a freelance basis with a number of cultural organisations and social enterprises on innovation strategy and practice and is a Director of Mission Models Money, an independent organisation which designs and trials new ways of working in the arts.  He has previously worked for NESTA, Accenture and IBM.

Festivals Edinburgh is also supported via project specific secondments from City of Edinburgh Council, British Council Scotland and BBC Scotland.
